BRUCE FORDYCE
Bruce Fordyce's has been a super achiever since his early school days, where
he excelled on the sports field and was popular amongst his peers. He has held
and continues to hold key positions in top sports organisations around the
country. Bruce was part of the Johannesburg Olympic Bidding Committee, is a
partner in De Vries Fordyce International, CEO of the South African Sports Trust
and a powerful voice for many South African charities.
He is author of the best selling book Comrades; How to Run the Comrades and
Bruce Fordyce - The Athlete. Bruce was a columnist for The Rand Daily Mail, The
Star and currently for The Sunday Independent. He is considered the world's
greatest ultra-marathon runner. Bruce won the Comrades nine times, during
breaking several Comrades records. He is also the world record-holder for 50
miles, which he set in 1983 during the London-Brighton marathon. He holds the
U.S. 50 mile All Comers record.
Bruce has attained full South African Colours for Road Running and has won
numerous awards for his running and book writing.
He is a highly sought after motivational speaker and product endorser.
