DAMON HOWARD
Damon Howard played saxophone in various bands when he finished high school in
Johannesburg, before graduating as a dentist and dedicating his musical career
to his first love, singing. After playing to diverse audiences at weddings and
Barmitvahs and at German Oompah gigs for a number of years, Damon decided to
zero in on Rock 'n Roll. While there is no shortage of bad Elvis impersonators,
there are very few really good ones. South Africa's own Damon Howard is one of
the best, attesting to this is the fact that he was awarded South Africa's Best
Elvis Impersonator at a competition held at Caesar's Casino.
Damon performs to authentic backing tracks. He has had appeared at all the major
fleamarkets in Gauteng and he regularly performs at supper clubs, exhibition
centers and for launches/promotions and corporate events both within and outside
the country's borders. Damon has appeared numerous times on radio and television
and has released his own CD. Escape for a few hours back into the Rock 'n Roll
era by having the 'KING' drop in at your next function.
