JOSEPH CLARK
Joseph Clark's prolific career spans many years as an actor, singer and dancer
in major South African productions. He has performed in almost every theatre in
the country, on television and in feature films. He came to South Africa as a
Principal Dancer for the PACT Ballet Company and settled in Durban in 1987 where
he danced for the NAPAC Dance Company as a Principal and Guest dancer until
1993.
A small sampling of his theatrical credits include having sung, played the lead
and danced in Sweeny Todd, Oklahoma!, West Side Story, Elton John - I'm Still
Standing, New York State of Mind, The Piano Men Richard Loring's Ticket to Ride
and Joseph's award winning performance in March of the Falsettos and the
spectacular Queen at the Opera. He has performed in Pieter Torien's Burning
Blue, in West Side Story, Macbeth and as Buddy Holly in The Buddy Holly Story.
He appeared in three of the Jo'burg Pops concert version of Jesus Christ
Superstar and has done a one-man show, called The Male Intellect at the Alhambra
Theatre. Joseph has appeared on numerous occasions as a featured soloist with
the Kwa-Zulu Natal Philharmonic Orchestra (KZNPO).
