LISA MELMAN
has been seen in many guises, for many years on South African stages, in places
exotic and a little international. Her singing and acting career has taken her
from playing Magenta in "Rocky Horror and Ellie Greenwhich in "Leader of the
Pack to the musical Grease where she played Rizzo, another feisty girl with
attitude.
Lisa has performed every nun in the musical "Nunsense" at some time or other,
bent the boards singing Andrew Lloyd Webber in " Music of the Night, and

Tim Rice during "A Touch of Webber, a Taste of Rice" which traveled to Dubai,
Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Durban, Cape Town, Wild Coast and Pretoria.
Other shows she remembers with love are " Taboo or not Taboo" " Legends" "Sweat"
with Nataniel "Two broads abroad" and 'Hot chocolate" her one woman show. On
television, Lisa has explored an evil princess in "Sinbad", sung in Miss Teen
Pageants, and appeared on "e with Felicia".
As a cruise ship entertainer, she sailed the oceans from Genoa to Italy, with
Egypt, Zanzibar, Mombasa and Mauritius in between. She feels very privileged to
have sung with some fabulous orchestras in South Africa and abroad.
In between writing scripts and performing in corporate theatre, Lisa produced
the show "Marilyn Live" about the legendary Monroe and toured it around the
country. She has recently returned from Macau, China after performing there for
two months, and has taken part in " Woman of the Year" in 2002.
