THE BEANS

Three brothers Miles, Laurence, and Douglas Bean comprise The Beans. They formed in 1994 and can play as a trio or duo with Laurence and Miles or a trio with Douglas who is a part time lead guitarist for Wendy Oldfield and Henry Ate.

The Beans are in much demand for performances at pubs, restaurants, weddings and casinos. They are also called on to do corporate functions and have a vast repertoire of diverse cover songs, from oldies to contemporary numbers that they perform. The Beans have performed at the Wild Coast Casino for Blackjack tournaments and Xmas functions, at weddings, Keystone Café, Monte Casino, Champions Casino, Marc Anthony's Cigar-bar and Caesars Casino. They have done several performances for corporate clients FNB, Datapro and Datatech.

All three members are lead vocalists and do harmonies. Miles plays rhythm guitar and harmonica; Laurence plays bass and rhythm guitars and percussion. Douglas is lead guitarist. They use mini discs for their drums and backing, which means that they can play softly if required, but still sound like a six-piece band.
