THE THREE SOUTH AFRICAN TENORS
Formed in 1997 and consisting of Agos Moahi, Given Mabena and Lucky Sibande, the
trio studied music in the Opera Department of the Pretoria Technikon under the
tuition of Eric Muller and Pierre du Toit and were each awarded National
Diplomas for Performing Arts in Opera.
The Tenors have performed all over South Africa, notably at the SABC Community
Builder of the Year Awards Ceremony in 1998, attended by President Nelson
Mandela and Dr. Mangosuthu Buthelezi and in 1999 at the VIP dinner for the
opening ceremony of the All Africa Games. They have respectively had solo
performances at Ama Opera-Opera with Sibongile Mngoma at Vodaworld and performed
at corporate functions for Afrox, SAA, Marconi Communication and Tribute
Magazine to name a few.
The Three South African Tenors have shared a stage with Yvonne Chaka Chaka,
Aviva Pelham, the NAPOP Orchestra and Sibongile Khumalo to name a few.
